About this case study:

Brief
As Jazz Pharmaceuticals prepares to purchase a new 3.5 ft Andrew+ pipetting robot, the company also requires a Class II biosafety cabinet to safely house the system. Located within an ISO 5 cleanroom environment, the lab prioritises strict contamination control, ensuring cleanliness is a top priority.
Solution
The cabinet will measure approximately 1840mm in length and feature custom internal dimensions measuring 1725mm x 1140mm x 710mm to support the equipment. It will also feature a stainless steel worksurface, a nine-inch touch-screen control system, UV lighting and an electronic vertical sliding sash.
Outcome
The biosafety cabinets look exceptional and eliminated the risk of cross-contamination inside the laboratory. Not only was Jazz Pharmaceuticals impressed, but the Waters engineers who delivered and installed the pipetting robot were equally happy. The bespoke dimensions provided the perfect fit.
Summary
Laboratory equipment should always be designed to accommodate the science. Choosing an equipment provider that meets those needs de-risks a project and ensures the solutions align with the specifications of the facility. For TION, this means bespoke dimensions and technical documentation.
