Energy Efficient LED Lighting

Sealed LED lighting offers eco-friendly, cost-effective 800 LUX illumination.

Lighting

Lighting is of critical importance when it comes to walk-in cabinets, as you need to ensure safe practice. The best and most obvious choice of lighting is LED, as it will last many times longer than older fluorescent types, which also prove troublesome.

  • LED 800LUX fitted as standard
  • Yellow filtered light for UV reactive solutions/materials
  • ATEX rated version

Taps

Any quantity and location of taps (gas, water, vacuum, nitrogen etc.)

Power Sockets

Any quantity and location, including specific types (high current etc.)

Sinks

Can be set into the side of the unit to provide drainage points

Lining Materials

No corrosion, ever. Allows for ultimate flexibility in design, anything can be easily customised.

Construction

The most frequently used material when constructing fume cabinets is polypropylene. However, we do offer alternatives for walk-in cupboards, as we know the material will depend on the application.

Lining materials

  • Polypropylene – ideal for most applications
  • Stainless Steel – for radioactive materials
  • PPS – most of the benefits of polypropylene but with UL94 V-0 fire retardant properties and a higher heat resistance
  • Trespa® Toplab Plus™ – only if requested, not recommended
  • Epoxy powder coated mild steel – only if requested, not recommended

Sash Design

Large front opening for easy access. With a variety of bespoke options available.

Worksurfaces

The large front opening allows access for mobile benches or trolleys and the one-piece metal-free construction* ensures zero corrosion over time – ideal for the majority of applications**, especially where corrosive solutions are being used. A variety of linings are available.

Options available:

  • Full height toughened glass sliding vertically
  • Full height toughened glass sliding vertically with horizontal access panes
  • Full height polycarbonate sliding
  • Full height polycarbonate sliding vertically with horizontal access panes

*metal option available if required **Except radioactive materials – we would use a Stainless Steel lining for that application – or high heat applications when we would use metal.
